The work
This role involves reviewing short speech recordings and writing structured observations for AI voice and speech training and evaluation. The listed role combines voice actor and coach expertise with speech-analysis duties, so review the duties and qualifications before applying.
You will work independently through digital platforms while keeping your judgments accurate, objective, and confidential.
- Analyze speech recordings using consistent professional voice terms.
- Describe vocal quality, resonance, phonation, pitch, intonation, breath support, rhythm, and tempo.
- Assess emotional tone, energy, articulation, and delivery in scripted, spontaneous, and conversational recordings.
- Identify accent or dialect when you are confident in your assessment.
- Review room sound, recording environments, and devices such as microphones, headsets, and phones.
- Write clear reports that support AI voice and speech model training and evaluation.
What it pays and takes
This is a part-time contract role for people with strong knowledge of speech analysis and voice. Professional experience in voice acting, voice coaching, dialect coaching, vocal pedagogy, or a related field is preferred.
- Pay: $30 to $70 per hour.
- Work type: Part-time contract work.
- Language: English proficiency at B2 level or higher is required. Professional proficiency in another language is welcome.
- Requirements: Reliable internet access and high-quality headphones for accurate audio assessment.
- Core skills: Speech analysis, prosody, intonation, phonetics, accent and dialect variation, vocal quality, clear communication, and careful attention to detail.
- Helpful experience: Resonance, voice placement, phonation, breath control, audio or sound engineering, recording quality, or acoustic environment assessment.
