The work
You will create practical software development tasks in Visual Studio Code and record yourself completing each workflow. The work supports AI training by showing realistic ways developers use an editor and related tools.
Before recording, you will prepare the project files, extensions, dependencies, runtimes, and reference materials. You will then review the recording and documentation to make sure the workflow is realistic, complete, clear, and aligned with project guidelines.
- Design authentic, reproducible Visual Studio Code tasks.
- Prepare files, projects, extensions, dependencies, runtimes, and references.
- Record complete workflows on your computer.
- Demonstrate coding, file management, search, debugging, formatting, scripts, terminal commands, Git, settings, extensions, notebooks, and workspace organization.
- Document the workflow context and goals in clear technical writing.
- Check recordings and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
What it pays and takes
This is a remote, part-time contractor role for freelancers who can work independently and record computer-based workflows clearly.
- $20 per hour.
- 20+ hours per week.
- Remote work open to candidates in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan.
- Hands-on experience with Visual Studio Code, including coding, file editing, debugging, extensions, terminal workflows, Git integration, or related development tasks.
- Working knowledge of Explorer, search, extensions, terminal, debugging, settings, formatting, source control, and workspace organization.
- Ability to design authentic workflows, manage project environments, and prepare runtimes and references.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher for understanding instructions and writing technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, reliable self-directed work habits, and comfort recording computer-based workflows.
- Experience in coding, quality assurance, technical writing, GitHub, web development, data analysis, administration, operations, or other computer-based work is helpful.
