Transcription Expert (Tamil)

You will turn spoken Tamil audio into accurate written transcripts and review the results for quality. The work includes listening carefully to different accents and dialects, following project guidelines, and completing remote assignments by their deadlines.

• Create accurate Tamil transcripts that reflect the spoken content.
• Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, consistency, accuracy, and guideline compliance.
• Annotate language features and nuances in audio when an assignment requires it.
• Flag unclear audio, discrepancies, and other quality concerns for review.
• Provide clear written and verbal feedback or clarification to project coordinators.
• Manage multiple assignments independently and adapt to changing project needs.

This is a part-time contractor role for an entry-level project. Prior AI experience is not required, but strong Tamil language skills and relevant transcription or linguistic annotation experience are important.

• Pay: $10 to $24 per hour equivalent, paid per task.
• Time: 20+ hours per week.
• Location: Open to candidates in the listed countries, including the United States, Canada, India, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.
• Language: Professional fluency in Tamil, with strong comprehension of varied Tamil dialects and accents.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication in Tamil and English.
• Experience: Transcription or linguistic annotation experience, preferably on digital projects.
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail, accuracy under time constraints, and the ability to work independently.
• Helpful tools: Familiarity with transcription software and digital collaboration tools.
