The Work
You will oversee quality and consistency across Kannada AI training projects. This includes reviewing AI-generated Kannada content and trainer and quality-assurance work against project guidelines and detailed rubrics.
You will also help teams handle language questions, document standards, and improve Kannada-language quality assurance across ongoing projects.
- Spot-check Kannada work and identify recurring or serious quality issues.
- Review fluency, meaning, tone, cultural fit, instruction-following, formatting, and translation accuracy.
- Give clear written feedback on mistranslation, unnatural wording, ambiguity, made-up claims, and inconsistent terms.
- Help trainers and reviewers resolve questions about Kannada wording, register, regional variation, cultural context, and edge cases.
- Create and maintain style guides, frequently asked questions, trackers, quality notes, examples, and onboarding materials.
- Support onboarding and training, apply updated project standards consistently, and recommend workflow improvements.
What It Pays And Takes
This is a remote contractor and part-time role. It is listed as entry level and requires substantial Kannada language-review experience, along with a mathematics degree and strong written communication.
- Pay: Up to $30 per hour.
- Time: 20 or more hours per week.
- Location: Open to candidates in India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates.
- Languages: Professional fluency in Kannada and strong English communication skills.
- Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in Mathematics is required.
- Experience: At least three years in Kannada writing, editing, translation, localization, content quality assurance, education, annotation, or related language-review work.
- Language skills: Strong Kannada reading and writing, with a thorough understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, regional variation, and cultural context.
- Evaluation skills: Ability to assess content against detailed rubrics and identify language and quality problems.
- Helpful background: Experience supporting or leading remote trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or quality-assurance contributors.
- Helpful knowledge: AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt and response evaluation, or rubric-based AI quality assurance.
- Tools: Comfort with collaboration and documentation tools such as Discord, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
