The work
You will design realistic, complex engineering workflows for AI training. The work covers architecture, interfaces, dependencies, technical limits, and trade-offs across several engineering disciplines.
- Design projects involving mechanical, electrical, hardware, software, and manufacturing decisions.
- Turn project goals into system architectures with clear boundaries, subsystem responsibilities, interfaces, and technical constraints.
- Break complex architecture problems into connected tasks with clear inputs, deliverables, dependencies, and expert responsibilities.
- Set technical objectives and evaluation criteria for realistic engineering workflows.
- Use architecture reviews, interface management, and technical trade studies for complex systems.
What it pays and takes
This is a part-time contractor role for people with systems architecture or comparable technical leadership experience.
- Pay: $150 to $300 per hour.
- Open to candidates in 52 listed countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Substantial professional experience as a Systems Architect, Chief Systems Architect, or comparable technical leader.
- Experience owning complex engineering architectures and leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong skills in system architecture design, technical trade studies, interface management, and architecture reviews.
- Helpful background includes model-based systems engineering, SysML, or architecture modeling tools.
- Helpful background includes graduate study in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience taking architectures from concept through implementation, integration, and deployment is helpful.
- Relevant experience may include aerospace, automotive, robotics, industrial systems, medical devices, or another complex engineering environment.
How it works
You apply here in about two minutes and finish on the hiring platform. The next step is a short AI interview (technical roles include a coding challenge). Passing it is how you qualify for paid tasks, so take it soon after you are invited.
The hiring platform's application for this job asks for your resume, your LinkedIn profile, your phone number, your location and answers to 3 screening questions.
About AI training work
