The work
As a Statistical Modeling Researcher, you will help improve AI systems by creating expert training data and reviewing AI-generated research content. Your work will focus on statistical theory, methodology, computation, machine learning, and applied statistics.
You will work independently in an asynchronous setting, using your research judgment to assess technical content and explain your decisions clearly.
- Create training data grounded in statistical research and methodology.
- Review AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with statistical concepts.
- Evaluate content across statistical theory, methodology, computation, machine learning, and applied statistics.
- Write clear feedback that helps improve AI-generated research content.
- Work carefully and independently with AI research teams.
What it pays and takes
This is ongoing, project-based contract work for researchers with advanced statistical expertise. Prior AI training experience is not required.
- Pay: Up to $75 per hour.
- Location: Open to candidates in the United States.
- Schedule: 20+ hours per week.
- Work arrangement: Remote, flexible, asynchronous, part-time contract work.
- Education: PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, or a related field from a top 100 US university.
- Research background: Experience in statistical theory or methodology, statistical computation or machine learning, or applied statistics and applications.
- Communication: Strong written communication and the ability to explain technical judgments clearly.
- Language: Professional fluency in English.
- Useful background: Familiarity with arXiv, especially its Statistics repository.
