The Work
You will help improve AI systems by creating realistic software engineering problems and reviewing the answers they produce. Your work will focus on system design, architecture, implementation, and the practices used in production software environments.
- Create challenging software engineering problems and realistic technical scenarios.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and practical feasibility.
- Judge whether responses reflect sound production engineering practices.
- Write clear, structured feedback that helps improve AI model performance.
- Work independently in a remote, asynchronous setting at your own pace.
What It Pays And Takes
This is an ongoing, project-based contract role designed for flexible part-time work alongside your current role. You should be able to explain complex software engineering ideas clearly and assess technical details carefully.

About AI Training Work
AI training is the human work behind systems that generate answers, code, and other content. People with software engineering experience help assess whether AI responses are accurate, useful, and consistent with real engineering practice, which is why specialist work like this requires technical expertise.
OpenTrain helps people discover AI training and data-labeling projects, build a profile, and apply in minutes. Creating an OpenTrain account is free.
