The work
You will create and configure 3D environments and assets for AI training. The work connects real-world objects and instruments with simulated environments so models can learn from realistic behavior.
- Build 3D assets and environments in Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo, Unity, Unreal, PyBullet, or a similar platform.
- Convert real-world objects and instruments into simulations that match their geometry, scale, materials, and physical behavior.
- Work with scientists and technical subject-matter experts to check the accuracy of simulated environments.
- Adjust mass, friction, collision properties, joint dynamics, and other physical settings.
- Investigate differences between simulated and real-world behavior.
What it pays and takes
This is a part-time contract role for candidates with practical experience in simulation, 3D modeling, CAD, or environment design. AI experience is not required; your technical domain knowledge is the focus.
- Pay: $60 to $100 per hour.
- Work type: Part-time contract.
- Location: Open to candidates in the listed countries, including the United States, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore, and others.
- Language: Fluent in English.
- Simulation experience with at least one robotics or physics platform, such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo, Unity, Unreal, or PyBullet.
- Background in 3D modeling, CAD, or environment design.
- Understanding of rigid body dynamics, materials, and sensors in physics simulation.
- Strong collaboration skills with scientific and technical stakeholders.
- Careful attention to matching real-world detail and behavior.

About AI training work
AI training is the human work behind systems that learn from examples, including realistic 3D environments and simulated behavior. People with technical experience are needed to create accurate training data and evaluate how well simulations reflect the real world.
