The work
You will turn real-world objects and instruments into accurate simulated environments and assets for AI training. The work focuses on matching geometry, scale, materials, and physical behavior so simulated objects act like their real counterparts.
- Build and configure 3D assets and environments in Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo, Unity, Unreal, PyBullet, or a similar platform.
- Set mass, friction, collision properties, and joint dynamics to match real-world behavior.
- Work with scientists and technical subject-matter experts to validate simulated environments.
- Troubleshoot differences between simulated and real-world behavior.
What it pays and takes
This is a remote contractor opportunity with flexible scheduling.
- Pay: $60 to $100 per hour.
- Work arrangement: Remote contractor role with flexible scheduling.
- Location: Open to candidates in selected countries across North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
- Language: Fluent English.
- Required: Hands-on experience with at least one robotics or physics simulation platform.
- Useful background: 3D modeling, CAD, or environment design.
- Knowledge: Rigid-body dynamics, material properties, and sensors.
- Requirements: Strong collaboration skills, careful attention to real-world fidelity, and a Windows or Linux workstation with an NVIDIA RTX GPU.
How it works
You apply here in about two minutes and finish on the hiring platform. The next step is a short AI interview (technical roles include a coding challenge). Passing it is how you qualify for paid tasks, so take it soon after you are invited.
The hiring platform's application for this job asks for your resume, your LinkedIn profile, your phone number, your location and answers to 3 screening questions.
About AI training work
AI training is the human work behind modern artificial intelligence. People prepare and review examples, including simulated environments and other data, so AI systems can learn from realistic information; specialized experience can help contributors qualify for technical projects.
