The Work
You will provide expert feedback on engineering inspection materials used to train and improve AI systems. Your work will rely on established NDT methods, industry codes, and acceptance criteria.
You will work independently in a remote setting and collaborate asynchronously with technical peers when inspection findings are complex or unclear.
- Analyze radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, and phased-array inspection results.
- Evaluate magnetic particle and penetrant indications, weld flaws, and component conditions.
- Review inspection data and recommend dispositions using applicable code-based acceptance criteria.
- Assess thermographic imagery or remote visual inspection footage when an assignment requires it.
- Write technical reports that explain findings, reasoning, and recommended actions.
- Help improve evaluation protocols using industry practices and changing compliance requirements.
What It Pays And Takes
This is a remote, part-time contractor role for professionals with substantial non-destructive testing experience and strong technical judgment.

- Remote work with part-time contractor engagement.
- Open to candidates in the listed countries; US-based professionals are preferred.
- Fluent English for technical reports and communication.
- Active ASNT or ISO 9712 NDT Level II or Level III certification in relevant methods such as RT, UT or PAUT, MT, or PT.
- At least eight years of direct experience interpreting radiographs, ultrasonic or phased-array scans, MT or PT indications, and related NDT data.
- Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or power-sector inspection work.
- Working knowledge of ASME Sections V, VIII, and XI; API 510, 570, 653, and 1104; and AWS D1.1.

How it works
You apply here in about two minutes and finish on the hiring platform. The next step is a short AI interview (technical roles include a coding challenge). Passing it is how you qualify for paid tasks, so take it soon after you are invited.
About AI Training Work
AI training is the human work behind systems that learn from examples, including reviewing images, records, and model outputs. Specialists are paid for applying professional judgment so AI systems can handle technical material more accurately.
