The work
You will use AI models and agents to explore research problems, test their reasoning, and assess whether their results are correct and original. The work combines computer science with computational or mathematical physics.
You will document methods, partial results, challenges, and useful next steps in clear written reports. You may also surface promising research paths for further work by senior research professionals.
- Identify open problems, new bounds, and research challenges in your specialty.
- Use AI models and agents to attempt proofs, develop algorithms, and run computational simulations.
- Check proofs, reproduce numerical results, and use formal tools when appropriate.
- Compare findings with recent literature and published results to assess novelty and correctness.
