The work
You will create challenging clinical tasks and assess AI-generated content against real radiation oncology practice. Your work will help improve AI reasoning in a specialized medical field.
- Create expert tasks based on target and organ-at-risk contouring, simulation CT and imaging review, dose and fractionation, plan evaluation, and treatment planning.
- Review AI responses for clinical accuracy, patient safety, and consistency with current radiation oncology practice and guidelines.
- Write clear, structured feedback that identifies errors, explains appropriate clinical reasoning, and supports model improvement.
- Apply your judgment across external beam radiotherapy, stereotactic treatment, brachytherapy, proton therapy, palliative care, and radiation oncology emergencies.
What it pays and takes
This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity that can be completed alongside your current role. Work is remote and asynchronous, with tasks completed at your own pace.
- Pay: up to $180 per hour.
- Schedule: 20+ hours per week with flexible, asynchronous work.
- Location: Open to candidates in the United States.
- Language: Professional fluency in English.
- Education: MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
- Training: Completed residency in radiation oncology.
- Licensure: Current medical license in the United States.
- Knowledge of at least one area such as contouring, IMRT, VMAT, image-guided radiotherapy, SRS, SBRT, brachytherapy, proton therapy, or palliative radiotherapy.
- Strong written communication, attention to detail, and ability to explain complex radiation oncology concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
Helpful background
Board certification or board eligibility in radiation oncology, subspecialty fellowship training, experience at an academic medical center or comprehensive cancer center, familiarity with treatment planning systems or contouring software, peer-reviewed publications, and clinical research experience are valuable additions.

About AI training work
AI training is the human work behind systems that learn from examples, including reviewing model answers and rating their quality. Experienced professionals are needed to judge specialized content accurately and explain what a better answer should contain.
