The Work
You will help evaluate and improve advanced AI systems by guiding models through difficult research problems in computer science and computational physics. The work calls for careful judgment about whether model-generated research is correct, novel, meaningful, and reproducible.
You will lead research tasks involving theory, algorithms, numerical analysis, simulation, formal methods, and high-performance computing. You will also document research attempts, partial solutions, model limitations, and repeated failure patterns.
- Identify foundational open problems, theoretical bounds, and simulation challenges with results that can be checked.
- Direct multi-step work involving proofs, algorithms, numerical experiments, and high-performance computing.
- Validate outputs through proof checks, computational reproduction, and formal methods.
- Assess the novelty, correctness, and importance of research results against current literature.
- Recommend research areas and open problems that are suitable for progress with AI models and computational tools.
