The work
You will help improve AI systems by applying your physics knowledge to prompts and model responses. The work is mainly independent and asynchronous, with assignments depending on available projects.
- Write prompts about physics concepts and specialized areas of physics.
- Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, depth, and clarity.
- Research physics topics with help from AI tools.
- Decide whether AI-generated explanations show a strong understanding of physics.
- Contribute to AI research projects conducted with AI labs.
What it pays and takes
- Pay: Up to $50 per hour.
- Hours: Approximately 10 to 20 hours per week.
- Location: Remote and open to candidates in the United States.
- Education: A master’s degree in physics is required.
- Language: Fluent English is required for the role.
- Work style: You should be able to work independently in a primarily asynchronous setting.
- Eligibility: The role is open to eligible U.S.-based doctoral students and candidates with valid work or training authorization, including F-1/OPT, J-1, or H-1B authorization subject to applicable conditions.

About AI training work
AI training work uses human-written prompts and careful reviews to help AI systems produce more accurate and useful answers. Physics specialists are needed because models must explain technical concepts correctly and in enough detail for people to rely on them.
