The Work
You will help evaluate AI systems that answer nuclear physics questions. The role title emphasizes nuclear and radiological safety model audits, while the work centers on nuclear physics evaluation, so review the duties and qualifications before applying.
You will write prompts and reference answers, rate AI responses, and provide corrections that show sound scientific reasoning. Your reviews will cover accuracy, calculations, units, safety, clarity, and relevance.
- Create prompts and reference answers about radioactive decay, nuclear structure, fission, fusion, radiation interactions, detectors, shielding, nuclear energy, and safety.
- Rank AI responses for scientific accuracy, physical reasoning, unit consistency, calculation quality, safety awareness, clarity, and relevance.
- Find unsafe or misleading radiation content, made-up facts, incorrect formulas, flawed calculations, unsupported claims, and overconfident interpretations.
- Write precise corrections, rewrites, and model answers using clear nuclear physics reasoning.
What It Pays And Takes
This is a part-time contractor role listed as entry level. Prior AI training experience is not required, but strong nuclear physics knowledge and careful written review are central to the work.
- Pay: $60 to $90 per hour.
- Time: 20+ hours per week.
- Work arrangement: Part-time contract work.
- Location: Open to candidates in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Czechia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Netherlands.
- Language: C1 or higher English proficiency for detailed written feedback.
- Education and experience: A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in nuclear physics, nuclear engineering, radiation science, applied physics, engineering physics, or a related field. At least three years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Knowledge: Atomic nuclei, radioactive decay, half-life, binding energy, nuclear reactions, radiation types, fission, fusion, detectors, shielding, and radiation safety.
- Work skills: Careful checking of units, decay chains, reaction notation, isotope terms, dose concepts, calculations, and physical assumptions. You should also be able to work independently, follow detailed rubrics, and maintain consistent quality.
