The work
You will help train and evaluate AI systems that build complex n8n automation pipelines. The work combines workflow design, prompt and response writing, technical evaluation, and coding-focused review.
You will review and improve AI-generated automation flows for reliability, scalability, and performance. Examples include AI content workflows, lead generation and outreach systems, and web scraping pipelines.
- Write prompts that require robust n8n workflow designs, including nodes, execution patterns, error handling, retries, and data parsing.
- Create evaluation criteria for multi-step automation pipelines.
- Review and improve AI-generated workflows using your technical knowledge.
- Design integrations using APIs, webhooks, OAuth or API keys, and data mapping.
- Build resilient workflows with retries, deduplication, idempotency, error branches, logging, and alerts.
- Work with web scraping, extraction, parsing, and structured or unstructured data.
- Process and transform JSON, CSV, and HTML data through validation and normalization.
- Apply knowledge of rate limits, batching, timeouts, sequencing, and other workflow constraints.
What it pays and takes
This is a flexible, project-based contractor engagement with part-time hours. You should be able to work independently and communicate clearly in written English.
- Pay: $15 to $45 per hour, paid in USD.
- Hours: Less than 20 hours per week.
- Location: Open worldwide.
- Engagement: Part-time contractor work that is not permanent.
- Experience: Intermediate level.
- English: B2 or higher written communication.
- Required: Hands-on experience building advanced n8n automations in self-hosted environments.
- Required: Experience with self-hosted setup and maintenance, including Docker, environment variables, credentials, and basic operations.
- Required: Strong knowledge of n8n workflow logic, nodes, execution modes, and troubleshooting failed runs.
- Preferred: Experience with Apify or similar web scraping tools, AI integrations such as LLM calls and enrichment steps, and a portfolio or written examples of scalable end-to-end automations.

About AI training work
AI training is the human work behind systems that learn from examples, including writing prompts, rating responses, reviewing code, and checking whether automated outputs work correctly. People with technical expertise are paid to help make these systems more accurate and reliable.
