The Work
You will turn realistic mobile engineering problems into coding tasks used to train and evaluate AI models. Your work may cover bug fixes, feature development, refactoring, application state and lifecycle behavior, debugging, and performance improvement.
Each task must have a reliable environment, clear expected behavior, deterministic validation, and a golden reference solution. You will work with suitable repositories and may focus on cross-platform, iOS, or Android development based on your expertise.
- Create technically demanding mobile coding tasks from realistic engineering problems.
- Design tasks that test debugging, feature development, state management, lifecycle handling, and performance improvement.
- Build reproducible environments for each task.
- Write deterministic verifiers that accept correct solutions and reject incomplete, incorrect, or hard-coded approaches.
- Provide a reference solution that demonstrates a correct implementation across valid approaches.
- Work across React Native, Flutter, iOS, or Android development tracks according to your skills.
What It Pays and Takes
This is a remote, part-time contractor role for someone with strong hands-on mobile development experience. You should be able to create reliable technical tasks and robust validation for more than one valid software implementation.
- $50 to $100 per hour equivalent, paid per task that meets the project specifications.
- Approximately 15 hours per week, with less than 20 hours per week required.
- Minimum weekly submission requirements apply.
- Remote; open only to candidates in the supported countries for this role.
- Fluent in English.
- Significant hands-on expertise in at least one mobile development track.
- Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and React Native, Dart and Flutter, Swift with SwiftUI or UIKit, or Kotlin with Jetpack Compose or the Android View system.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture, state management, asynchronous programming, and application lifecycle.
- Ability to debug complex mobile applications and improve their performance.
- Ability to create reproducible technical tasks and robust deterministic validation.
How it works
You apply here in about two minutes and finish on the hiring platform. The next step is a short AI interview (technical roles include a coding challenge). Passing it is how you qualify for paid tasks, so take it soon after you are invited.
About AI Training Work
AI training is the human work behind modern AI systems, including writing, testing, and evaluating examples that help models improve. OpenTrain is a platform where people find these projects, build a profile, and apply to work that matches their skills.
