The work
You will create realistic mechanical engineering problems and review AI-generated technical content. Your feedback will assess whether the work is accurate, practical, manufacturable, clear, and aligned with engineering standards.
The work focuses on engineering documents and analyses that another reviewer could use with confidence. You will explain errors clearly and provide structured feedback that helps improve AI systems.
- Create expert-level problems based on manufactured, tested, or approved parts, assemblies, and analyses.
- Review AI responses for technical accuracy, manufacturability, practical feasibility, and alignment with engineering practice.
- Evaluate models, drawings, tolerances, calculations, and finite element analysis results.
- Check whether technical work is clear, robust, and defensible.
- Write structured feedback that identifies errors and supports model improvement.
What it pays and takes
This is flexible, part-time contract work that can be completed at your own pace alongside employment or studies. Work is remote and asynchronous, with a listed time commitment of less than 20 hours per week.
- Up to $100 per hour.
- Part-time contract work with less than 20 hours per week.

About AI training work
AI training is the human work behind systems that learn from examples, including writing and reviewing model responses and evaluating technical content. People with engineering expertise help judge whether AI output is accurate and useful, which is why specialist work calls for real subject knowledge.
