The Work
You will help train AI systems to understand mechanical assemblies and engineering drawings. The work involves reviewing FreeCAD-format files, interpreting how components relate to one another, and explaining the purpose of an assembly design.
You will write technical question-and-answer sets that reflect real engineering practice. Your answers must be clear, objective, accurate, and aligned with engineering standards.
- Analyze multi-part mechanical assemblies in FreeCAD-format files.
- Interpret component relationships and assembly design intent.
- Create questions about mechanical functions, design rationale, and dimensions.
- Write clear answers based on real-world engineering standards.
- Review technical details, resolve unclear points through communication, and deliver accurate work within project requirements.
What It Pays and Takes
The work does require strong practical knowledge of mechanical design, CAD, and engineering drawings.
- Pay: $40 to $80 per hour.
- Work type: Part-time contract work in a remote setting.
- Language: Fluent English.
- Background: Mechanical engineering, aerospace, or industrial design.
- Experience: Strong applied CAD knowledge and experience interpreting complex assemblies and engineering drawings.
- Software: FreeCAD is useful; experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor is also relevant.
- Skills: Technical writing, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and objective technical accuracy.
- Work style: Able to work independently, manage deliverables, and communicate effectively remotely.
- Location: Open to candidates in the United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Denmark, Algeria, Egypt, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Ghana, Greece, Indonesia, India, Italy, Jordan, Japan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Morocco, and Mexico.

How it works
You apply here in about two minutes and finish on the hiring platform. The next step is a short AI interview (technical roles include a coding challenge). Passing it is how you qualify for paid tasks, so take it soon after you are invited.
About AI Training Work
AI training is the human work behind systems that learn from examples, including technical question-and-answer sets and written explanations. People with strong subject knowledge help make that training accurate, which is why engineering expertise is important in this role.
