The work
You will evaluate AI-generated responses and language outputs so they are accurate, logical, clear, and well adapted for Portuguese-speaking users. You will also assess the quality of the reasoning and explanations behind each response.
- Review AI responses for accuracy, logic, clarity, and adherence to the prompt.
- Assess step-by-step problem solving, methodology, and conceptual understanding.
- Fact-check names, dates, units, references, and other localized details.
- Compare multiple AI responses and rate their correctness and reasoning quality.
- Write clear explanations and model solutions when needed.
- Apply Portuguese localization and translation judgment to preserve terminology, tone, and cultural nuance.
What it pays and takes
This is a fully remote, part-time contractor role. The work requires strong Portuguese and English reading and writing skills, along with substantial translation or localization experience.
- Pay: Up to $30 per hour.
- Time: 20+ hours per week.
- Location: Open to candidates in Brazil and Portugal.
- Language: Fluent Portuguese and C1 English reading and writing proficiency.
- Experience: 5+ years in localization or translation.
- Education: Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Localization, Communications, or a related field.
- Knowledge of MQM and LQA, CAT tools, and quality assurance workflows.
- Strong editorial judgment and fact-checking skills.
- Helpful experience includes terminology management, translation memory, termbases, automated checks, style guides, copyediting, or AI data training and evaluation.
- Clear documentation, responsiveness, and dependable contractor work habits.
