The Work
You will evaluate AI-generated Croatian content and help improve its language quality, accuracy, reasoning, and reliability. Your work will cover general knowledge, customer support, education, conversational writing, translation, and localization.
You will explain language or reasoning problems clearly and apply consistent quality standards when reviewing model responses.
- Review Croatian AI responses for grammar, spelling, fluency, meaning, tone, register, cultural fit, and prompt adherence.
- Find mistranslations, ambiguity, unnatural phrasing, terminology issues, logical inconsistencies, factual hallucinations, bias, and unsafe or misleading content.
- Create Croatian prompts, reference answers, rewrites, and model responses.
- Rate and compare responses for correctness, meaning preservation, register consistency, terminology, safety, and overall quality.
What It Pays and Takes
This is a remote, part-time contract role for freelancers located in Croatia. The role is listed as entry level, with relevant language expertise and professional experience helpful but not required.
- Pay: Up to $25 per hour.
- Time: 20 or more hours per week.
- Location: Open to candidates in Croatia.
- Languages: Fluent Croatian with strong reading and writing skills, plus professional English proficiency at C1 level or above.
- Language knowledge: Strong command of Croatian grammar, spelling, punctuation, diacritics, cases, declension, conjugation, aspect, word order, tone, and style.
- Registers: Ability to work with formal, neutral, conversational, professional, educational, and public-facing Croatian.
- Attention to detail: Ability to spot subtle meaning shifts, agreement errors, language interference, and culturally mismatched wording.
- Helpful background: A degree or equivalent experience in linguistics, Croatian language or literature, communications, journalism, translation, or a related field.
- Relevant experience: Writing, editing, localization, translation, content quality assurance, education, or rubric-based evaluation.
