The Work
You will create and solve software-engineering tasks used to train and evaluate AI systems. The work covers full-stack development, technical problem-solving, debugging, system architecture, and review of AI-generated code.
You will work across front-end and back-end systems, understand unfamiliar codebases, and assess whether implementations are correct, complete, secure, performant, and maintainable.
- Develop, modify, and debug front-end and back-end application components.
- Build user-facing features, APIs, services, and data models.
- Trace requests and data across browsers, applications, APIs, services, databases, and external integrations.
- Understand and contribute to complete software-system architecture.
- Diagnose issues involving application state, API contracts, authentication, persistence, networking, and deployment.
- Create, solve, review, and validate software-engineering tasks for AI training.
- Evaluate and improve code written in multiple programming languages.
What It Pays and Takes
The role requires strong professional experience building production full-stack applications and hands-on experience across front-end and back-end engineering.
- $50 to $100 per hour equivalent, paid per task that meets the project specifications.
- Less than 20 hours per week.
- Location: remote, open to applicants in Mexico, the Philippines, and the United States.
- Fluent English.
- Production experience with multiple programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of browser applications, APIs, application state, databases, and service integration.
- Experience understanding and contributing to complete software-system architecture.
- Ability to work effectively in unfamiliar codebases.
- Strong debugging and technical problem-solving skills.
- Helpful technologies include Python, React, JavaScript, Java, Node.js, Rust, Go, and TypeScript.
- Experience reviewing AI-generated code and assessing security, performance, and maintainability is relevant.
How it works
You apply here in about two minutes and finish on the hiring platform. The next step is a short AI interview (technical roles include a coding challenge). Passing it is how you qualify for paid tasks, so take it soon after you are invited.
About AI Training Work
AI training is the human work behind systems that generate and understand software, text, images, and other content. Contributors create examples, test model behavior, and review outputs so AI systems become more accurate and useful; experienced engineers are needed for work that requires specialized software knowledge.
