The work
You will create realistic FreeCAD tasks that show how people use open-source CAD and parametric modeling tools. You will record each workflow on your computer and provide clear documentation for AI training.
Your tasks may cover product design, mechanical modeling, technical drawings, exports, assemblies, or troubleshooting.
- Design challenging FreeCAD tasks based on practical CAD and product design use cases.
- Install FreeCAD and prepare the files, assets, reference images, and dimensions needed for each task.
- Record yourself completing each task in a clear, complete, and realistic way.
- Document the task goals, steps, dimensions, files, and other details reviewers need.
- Use workflows involving sketches, constraints, parametric features, workbenches, technical drawings, exports, or assemblies when relevant.
- Review every recording and its documentation for completeness, clarity, realism, and alignment with project guidelines.
What it pays and takes
This is an entry-level, part-time contractor role for people with hands-on FreeCAD experience. You should be able to work independently and deliver consistent quality in a remote workflow across time zones.
- Pay: $20 per hour.
- Time: 20 or more hours per week.
- Work setup: Remote contract work.
- Location: Open to candidates in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, and Pakistan.
- Language: English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Experience: Hands-on use of FreeCAD for parametric modeling, sketching, constraints, technical drawings, exports, or related CAD workflows.
- FreeCAD knowledge: Sketcher, constraints, Part Design, Part workbench, bodies, sketches, pads, pockets, booleans, TechDraw, and file exports.
- Computer skills: Comfortable managing files, installing and opening software, navigating interfaces, and recording workflows.
- Work habits: Strong attention to detail, reliability, self-direction, and consistent quality.
