The work
You will create expert engineering scenarios and review AI-generated technical responses. Your work will test whether the answers are accurate, practical, well reasoned, and aligned with engineering standards.
- Create scenarios based on embedded design, development, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Review answers about firmware architecture, real-time systems, signal analysis, RF design, communications, and hardware/software integration.
- Check technical calculations, methods, assumptions, and recommendations.
- Write clear feedback that explains problems and helps improve AI performance.
- Complete project tasks remotely and asynchronously at your own pace.
What it pays and takes
This is an ongoing, project-based contractor opportunity that can be completed alongside your current role. There is no set schedule or minimum-hour requirement.
- Pay: up to $96 per hour.
- Location: based in Canada.
- Language: professional fluency in English.
- At least two years of hands-on industry experience in embedded systems, DSP, RF, or a related engineering field.
- Strong knowledge of embedded firmware, real-time or safety-critical systems, digital signal processing, RF design, wireless communications, hardware/software integration, or embedded hardware testing.
- An MS or PhD in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, or a BS in electrical or computer engineering combined with strong industry experience.
- Strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex engineering topics clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous setting.
- Helpful experience includes MATLAB/Simulink, Python, SPICE, LTspice, Altium, KiCad, GNU Radio, or similar tools.
- Helpful knowledge includes microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, SoCs, RF test equipment, software-defined radios, wireless standards, PCB design, signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and hardware validation.
- Relevant industry backgrounds include embedded systems, semiconductors, telecommunications, aerospace, defense, automotive, consumer electronics, and engineering technology.
