The work
You will help improve AI systems by creating realistic electrical engineering problems and scenarios, then reviewing the technical content those systems produce. Your work should reflect real design, testing, field conditions, engineering methods, constraints, and decisions.
This is remote, asynchronous contract work that you complete independently at a flexible pace.
- Create expert-level engineering problems and scenarios based on real design, testing, and field work.
- Review AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and practical feasibility.
- Judge whether responses match how electrical engineering is practiced.
- Write structured feedback that identifies issues and supports better model performance.
What it pays and takes
This is ongoing, flexible, part-time contract work that can be completed alongside another role. The role is listed at 20 or more hours per week, with no set schedule.
- Pay: $120 per hour for completed work.
- Location: Open to candidates currently residing in the United States.
- Experience: At least two years of hands-on electrical engineering industry experience.
- Education: An MS or PhD in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering, or a BS in electrical engineering with strong industry experience.
- Technical depth in one or more of these areas: power systems, microgrids, high-voltage engineering, semiconductors, chip design, EDA, embedded systems, digital signal processing, or RF engineering.
- Strong written communication, careful attention to detail, and independent judgment.
- Helpful tools include MATLAB/Simulink, Python, SPICE, PSCAD, ETAP, PSS/E, Cadence, Synopsys, Altium, KiCad, Verilog/SystemVerilog, or comparable engineering and simulation tools.
- Experience at an established electrical engineering or hardware employer may strengthen your background.

About AI training work
AI training is the human work behind systems that generate and evaluate content. Experts review model responses and explain what is accurate, useful, or practical, helping AI handle specialized subjects more reliably.
