The Work
You will annotate PDF documents so AI systems can understand their structure. The work combines precise box drawing, content classification, and careful handling of complex page layouts.
- Draw tight bounding boxes around text blocks, tables, figures, captions, headers, and key-value structures.
- Classify each annotated element according to project guidelines.
- Preserve the correct reading order and logical structure of each document.
- Handle multi-column text, forms, tables, rotated pages, and other complex layouts.
- Apply instructions consistently and flag unclear cases or gaps in the guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow data security expectations.
What It Pays and Takes
This is part-time contractor work for someone who can follow detailed rules and maintain steady accuracy across repetitive annotation tasks.
- Pay: $3 per hour.
- Time: 20 or more hours per week.
- Work arrangement: Part-time contract work.
- Location: Open to candidates in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, or the Philippines.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in any field is required; technology, engineering, or data-related study is preferred.
- Experience: 6 months to more than 2 years of data annotation, labeling, or similar work is preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex annotation guidelines.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of text blocks, tables, forms, figures, bounding boxes, classification, and reading order.
- Tools: Familiarity with annotation tools or platforms is a plus.
- Language: Professional fluency in English.
