The work
You will provide expert inspection and measurement input for AI system development. The work centers on first-article inspection deliverables, 3D scan data, scan-to-CAD accuracy, datum structures, profile and position callouts, and careful dimensional judgments.
You will explain the evidence behind your decisions and provide clear written and verbal feedback for first-article inspection sign-off and AI training inputs.
- Review and validate first-article inspection reports made from 3D scan data.
- Compare scans with CAD models and analyze the causes of measurement deviations.
- Set up, interpret, and document datum structures, profiles, and position callouts using industry standards.
- Use CMM measurement methods and uncertainty analysis to assess dimensional integrity.
- Distinguish true part deviations from errors caused by fixturing or alignment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
