The Work
You will design original computational chemistry problems that require advanced reasoning in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling. The problems should reflect real research workflows and should not be easily solved by hand.
You will also write complete, verified solutions and use Python with computational chemistry libraries to check the problem sets.
- Create research-grade computational chemistry problem statements
- Develop comprehensive and fully verified solutions
- Model authentic physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling workflows
- Use Python and computational chemistry libraries to validate each problem set
What It Pays and Takes
This is a part-time, project-based contractor role. Compensation is tied to the complexity of each task and the expertise it requires.
- Pay: $15 to $60 per hour
- Time: Less than 20 hours per week
- Work arrangement: Part-time contract work
- Location: Open worldwide
- Education: PhD required
- Experience: Intermediate-level experience in research-level computational and quantum chemistry
- Required knowledge: Physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, molecular modeling, Python, and computational chemistry libraries

About AI Training Work
AI training is the human work behind systems that learn from examples, including writing, reviewing, and evaluating technical content. People with deep subject knowledge help make those examples accurate and useful, which is why specialist projects can pay more for advanced expertise.
