The Work
You will help train AI systems by reviewing military scenarios and model-generated responses. Your work will focus on clear judgments about what is valid conceptual or policy support, what crosses into inappropriate operational or destructive assistance, and how well a response handles evidence, uncertainty, limits, and practical usefulness.
You will also document difficult cases and disagreements, create transparent answer keys for training and review, and help improve project guidelines. The role draws on experience with operational fires, targeting, weapons employment, and military decision-making.
- Map authentic military activity scenarios to an approved classification system.
- Identify boundaries involving operational decision support, destructive execution, autonomous weapons, and unlawful planning.
- Propose difficult edge cases that less-experienced reviewers may misclassify.
- Evaluate AI responses for source handling, uncertainty, reasoning quality, stated limits, and operational utility.
- Identify cases where an AI system incorrectly refuses valid conceptual or policy questions.
- Document gray areas and disagreements in answer keys used for model training and review.
