The work
You will use practical chemistry knowledge to help evaluate and improve AI systems. The work focuses on technical accuracy, reproducibility, and whether model responses reflect real laboratory, research, and analytical practice.
- Create chemistry problems and scenarios based on real laboratory, research, or analytical work.
- Review AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and reproducibility.
- Judge whether model outputs match how chemistry work is performed in practice.
- Write structured feedback to improve AI model performance.
- Complete project tasks independently in a remote, asynchronous setting.
What it pays and takes
This is ongoing, flexible, part-time contract work. It is marked as requiring 20+ hours per week, and the role is open to candidates in the United States.
- Pay: up to $85 per hour.
- Work arrangement: remote, part-time, project-based contract work.
- Location: open to candidates in the United States.
- Language: fluent English for written feedback and technical communication.
- Education: a master’s or PhD in chemistry or a closely related field, such as biochemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science.
- Clear written communication and close attention to detail.
- Ability to explain complex chemistry concepts clearly.
- Helpful experience includes research across multiple chemistry areas, specialized techniques or instruments such as NMR, mass spectrometry, chromatography, or synthesis, and computational chemistry platforms.
