The Work
You will evaluate how AI systems respond to sensitive questions about chemistry, toxicology, industrial hygiene, process safety, and chemical security. The work involves making clear safety judgments and explaining the reasoning behind them.
You will review realistic requests and multiple model answers, then help create better training examples across a range of chemical-safety topics.
- Classify chemical-safety requests as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.
- Review three AI answers for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness.
- Explain your judgment, rank the answers, and write the answer the model should have given.
- Identify why a dual-use request is sensitive, its legitimate purpose, and who should receive an answer.
- Create detailed prompts and responses for AI training.
- Test models for inaccurate, biased, unsafe, or overly restrictive behavior.
What It Pays and Takes
This is remote, part-time contractor work for people with chemical-safety knowledge and strong written communication. The listed experience level is entry level, with a relevant degree or comparable professional background typically expected.
- Pay: USD $70 to $100 per hour.
