The Work
You will assess how well AI models handle biomedical engineering concepts. Your reviews will help improve technical accuracy, logical reasoning, completeness, clarity, safety, and responsible communication of regulatory-sensitive information.
- Review AI-generated responses, explanations, calculations, design reasoning, and analysis tasks.
- Create and assess realistic biomedical engineering scenarios and step-by-step technical problems.
- Check units, assumptions, constraints, uncertainty, and the logic used in technical explanations.
- Identify factual errors, unsafe recommendations, unsupported clinical claims, invalid simplifications, and incomplete reasoning.
- Evaluate work involving biomechanics, bioinstrumentation, biomedical signals, medical device design, biomaterials, imaging, verification, validation, and risk.
- Assess whether content correctly uses relevant standards and explains when experimental verification or expert escalation is needed.
What It Pays And Takes
This is a part-time contractor role for biomedical engineering professionals who can apply careful technical judgment to AI-generated content.
- Pay: $40 to $100 per hour.
- Time: 20+ hours per week.
- Work arrangement: Part-time contract work.
- Location: Open to candidates in Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, the United States, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
- Language: Professional fluency in English.
- Experience level: Entry level.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience: At least four years of professional biomedical engineering experience in a relevant specialty.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of biomedical engineering fundamentals, technical assumptions, constraints, unit consistency, uncertainty, and safety.
- Helpful background: AI training, annotation, red-teaming, or evaluation of AI-generated technical content.
- Helpful knowledge: Medical device design, physiological signals, quality and regulatory work, manufacturing validation, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, FDA design controls, ISO 10993, or clinical workflow constraints.
