The work
You will design challenging bioinformatics and computational genomics tasks for evaluating AI systems. Each task should require an AI agent to interpret biological data, write and run code, work with scientific file formats, and produce results that can be checked objectively.
You will create realistic datasets, task instructions, expected output formats, reference solutions, and grading rules. Your workflows must run reproducibly in Python, and you will check that each task is scientifically correct, solvable from the supplied information, and suitably difficult for advanced AI models.
- Build tasks using FASTA, FASTQ, VCF, BAM, SAM, BED, TSV, and CSV files.
- Work with sequence annotations, expression data, and germline or somatic variant data.
- Create deterministic or objectively verifiable ground truths and automated grading criteria.
- Develop reproducible Python workflows and expert reference solutions.
- Review messy or ambiguous data, identify artifacts, and choose suitable analytical approaches.
- Document deliverables, respond to reviewer feedback, and explain scientific or technical requirements to project leads and reviewers.

About AI training work
AI training is the human work behind systems that learn from examples, including creating datasets, writing code, and checking whether model outputs are correct. Specialists are needed when the work depends on scientific judgment, technical tools, and reliable evaluation standards.
