The work
You will support AI training by applying practical 3D print-farm knowledge to technical workflows and proposed improvements. The work combines printer operations, production planning, troubleshooting, quality checks, and clear written feedback.
- Operate and maintain fleets of FDM and resin 3D printers.
- Create and refine slicer settings for different shapes, materials, and performance goals using tools such as Cura, PrusaSlicer, or Chitubox.
- Diagnose recurring print failures, find root causes, and document reliable fixes.
- Store, dry, condition, change, and manage filament and resin while preventing contamination and reducing waste.
- Organize print queues around delivery timelines, machine availability, and project requirements.
- Inspect parts for surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical integrity using accepted quality-control standards.
- Assess process improvements and technical fixes for print farms, service bureaus, makerspaces, and academic labs.
- Provide structured feedback on workflows and recommended technical improvements.
